Chris is co-founder and President and Chief Operating Officer of Evolution 1, a leading provider of payment and software solutions to the employee benefits market. He is responsible for operations, product development, technology, business development, and strategy. He is also active in public policy advocacy at the legislative and regulatory agency level. Chris was one of the founders in 2007 of the IIAS Working Group that later formally became SIGIS, and has served as the chair of the company's Certification and Compliance Committee since inception. Prior to Evolution 1, Chris held a variety of positions in commercial banking and health care services. He is based in Connecticut and is active in community affairs, serving on the boards of several non-profits in the Hartford area.

In her role as Vice President of Healthcare Services, Joan Christensen leads the healthcare team and is responsible for client services, implementations, developing new products and enhancements to existing product functionality. First Data Healthcare Services provides end-to-end payment solutions that streamline the healthcare experience for patients, providers, and payers. The company pioneered a multi-use healthcare card that provides access to HSA, HRA, FSA, and other funding sources. First Data Healthcare Services is one of the largest processors of healthcare payment cards. Christensen joined the healthcare team in 2003. Joan represents First Data in several industry organizations. She was a founding member of the Special Interest Group for IIAS Standards (SIGIS) responsible for establishing standards in the industry associated with IIAS transactions and is currently on the board of directors. Joan was also nominated and is a board member of the Employee Council for Flexible Compensation (ECFC). Christensen joined First Data in 1985. She holds a bachelors degree in marketing from the University of Nebraska, Omaha.

Ryan is a CPA, CTP and CFC and currently overseas Financial Operations activities related to HealthCare Reform Compliance and various functions within the Humana Corporate Finance Department. Ryan’s prior responsibilities in the Product Develop Department at Humana included responsibility for business development, strategy and vendor relationship management related to consumerism products, international business development and card based programs. Ryan has been with Humana for over 11 years.

As an Assistant Treasurer for CVS Caremark Corporation, Peter oversees store depository relationships, authorization, settlement and agreements for all forms of consumer payments in his company’s 7000+ retail and 4 mail order locations. He has over 30 years experience developing strategies to leverage technologies creating cost and time efficiencies. Additionally, he directs the Business Continuity Planning initiatives for the organization and also responsible for several consumer non-merchandise revenue/customer service initiatives such as ATMs, Coin Counting, Copiers, and Lottery.

Jeff Beadle
Jeff joined SIGIS in the summer of 2009 as the Executive Director. Jeff has day to day responsibility for the operations of SIGIS overseeing SIGIS programs, member services, education, finance, information technology and other support vendors. Prior to joining SIGIS, Jeff worked in a variety of business and information technology roles for Longs Drugs, Target and Mervyns. Jeff’s most recent position at Longs Drugs included responsibility for their IIAS implementation. Longs Drugs was a founding member of SIGIS and Jeff also served on the SIGIS Board of Directors since incorporation of the company. Jeff has in depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, merchant business processes, point of sale systems and card transactions systems.
Manager Programs and Certifications
Kristin Rutkowski
Kristin joined SIGIS in May of 2011 as the Manager of Programs & Certifications. Kristin is responsible for managing, developing and maintaining SIGIS program standards. This includes reviewing and approving member certifications, handling member escalations on certification programs and requests, and developing educational materials for our members. Kristin has worked in a variety of management, documentation and audit roles for TriNet and World Savings Bank. Kristin has extensive experience identifying and resolving customer issues from beginning to end. In her most recent experience at TriNet, Kristin focused extensively on resolving system issues before they impacted the end user.
